2022 Karting #1
Karting I –
The first event of the karting season was held January 18, 2022 at K1 Speed in Addison. We had a wonderful turnout, and it was great to see some familiar faces as well as some new faces. There were enough drivers to have two heats of racers.
In the fastest heat, Bradley Elliott captured first place, followed by Michael Lodermeier in second place and Trevor Raymond taking third.
In the second heat, Phillip Gullett took first place, followed by Jorge Torres in second and Kyle Ashpole taking third place.
I look forward to seeing everyone at our next Karting event on Sunday, February 6 , 2022 at 10 a.m. at K1 in Buffalo Grove.
Members and their guests are welcome! The total cost is $70.00 per driver; each person will get three runs: first run will be 12 practice laps; the second, 14 lap qualifying run; and the final run will be 14 laps with the top three drivers of each heat receiving trophies. We have a blocked reservation and we will be the only group running during our block. On the day of the event, we also ask that you try to arrive 15 minutes early to check in.
It is imperative that people who plan to attend send me an email RSVP at least 7 days prior to the date(s) you attend so that we can give K1 an accurate driver count.
