2023 SRO at Road America GT World Challenge

The SRO races were at Road America (GT World Challenge and more).  It is a whole weekend.  Two races for each group.  By the way, the groups are hard to figure out, but it is great racing.  Added adventure is the newly repaved track and it is not rubbered in yet.  You make any kind of mistake or try to pass offline and you will crash.  That will get better.

Thursday night the cars come into the streets of Elkhart Lake.  There were 138 of them.  The drivers were there too.  It is very fan friendly.  They left at 7:30 to get back to the track before dusk.  The town was crazy busy.

Friday brought practice and qualifing.  Groups had a Saturday and Sunday race.  Road America was busy BUT NOT like Indy, Historics or IMSA.  It is such a beautiful place.  If you haven’t spectated there you should put it on the calendar to make the trip.  Pick which series you are interested in and go for it. The track food is very very good.  There are many places to watch from.  There are shuttles to take you around.
