2021 Windy City BMW Fall Festival and Car Show at Cantigny Park

 This year, we have chosen to do something a little different. We are mixing up our annual picnic with a car show . With Autumn moving in fast, and Summer slipping away, what better way  to finish up the year with an outdoor festival. We all love the wonderful colors Autumn brings us. This Fall,  Cantigny Park in Wheaton, Illinois,  has been gracious enough to let us join in their festivities. They are having their Annual Fall Festival on Saturday, October 9^th. Doors open to the parks activities at 10am and run until 4pm. Park entry is $5 per car, not per person. We will not be charging any extra fees on top of that. Starting with food,  there will be Cantigny Park supplied food trucks, Bertie’s Café, and the option to bring your own lunch or even the option to bring your own small BBQ and grill on site. We are not offering any food  as a club!  Activities will include pumpkin decorating, live music, a book fair, petting zoo, hay rides and many others. If you haven’t been to Cantigny Park before, it is a very large park with walking paths, gardens, museums, ponds and military tanks. Yes, tanks, full size, real tanks from many of our past wars! And you are allowed to play on them! They also have a wonderful First Division Museum dedicated to all who have served. To top off all the fun, they have allowed us to take a large part of their parking lot for a Windy City BMW car show. They will be giving us 60 spots in the south lot, so we can all park together. They have also told me that we can get in the park a few hours early,  to get all the cars together and enjoy our own company and vehicles before the festivities begin.   Masks will be required in some of the building so make sure you have them. Bring extra cash, just in case you find something to bring home with you. This is a rain or shine event so prepare for the usual October weather. I am looking forward to this event and I am hoping for some fall colors too!  So come on out, and join in on the festivities and show us that cool car you love to clean in the driveway.
